It sits upon the tongue of death,  Wreaking tyrannical vengeance,  Excusing the hand for each stop of breath,  One cannot call this recompense.  Hollowed be Thy name.   
It hangs with the man languid,  Fattening his belly with fresh fruit,  While he fills others’ with notions rancid,  And his pockets overflow with loot.  Hollowed be Thy name.   
It billows from the mouths of knaves,  A blanket cast upon a thousand sins,  The bulwark of one who lusts and depraves,  
They are subsistent in their dins.  Hollowed be Thy name.

The Beating of Rusted WingsThe Beating of Rusted Wings   
Bountiful is our fruitless time in bed,  Comforted in a flaccid, dead embrace,  Hearing buzzes ticking around the head,  A bee pursuing final resting place.   
It has now all hapless time expended,  A life of mindless toil left behind,  Its wings now set like suns, glory wasted,  No time or reason extant to unwind.   
It lands between us, softened stinger bold,  And blank, without disdain, injects poison,  My pained writhing presently splits our hold,  While swiftly you break from our liaison.

The Immaculate InfectionIt flashed into existence,  An origin appearing celestial,  Starting as a seed in quiescence,  Evolving into a deadly scourge.   
People knew not what would befall,  The venom was clandestine,  Spreading towards the wherewithal,  They had dropped their reins.   
Soon it took a deadly form,  Stripping of natural resolve,  Killing all who would not conform,  The loftiest body count of its kind.   
Now it is communicated so freely,  Education on its dangers failed,  The young are falling hastily,  And taking along their friends.

The White PoplarApparent illumination,  Makes not all clearly seen,  For from the hawk’s high station,  It gazes upon an arbor green,  Which obscures the gopher below.   
Up the gopher stretches its gaze,  Looking to the hawk through said poplar,  White the color of this one’s haze,  Keeping it from scampering much afar,  For the miasma provides ephemeral courage.   
Fall cascades over the forests,  Leaving a polychromatic bliss,  The beauty now top and bottom subsists,  But the sand has gone amiss,  Hibernation and migration cannot submit. The White Poplar

Some Dead TomorrowI woke to a red sky,  The cuts have burrowed deep enough,  The end is coming nigh.   
There is no turning back,  All our protests Death will slough,  He needed no help with slack.   
By tomorrow we will see,  If Death makes haste due to rebuff,  Or if he takes the knee. Some Dead Tomorrow
